The Law Offices of Ernest R. Wruck has provided legal services for Suffolk County residents for nearly 40 years.

 

“Ernie’s” legal expertise extends to all aspects of Estate Administration, Estate Planning and Estate Litigation. An acknowledged expert in estate-law matters, he has been interviewed as an authority on these topics by Newsday, The New York Times and the Fox News Network’s “The O’Reilly Factor.”

A graduate of East Carolina University and Valparaiso Law, Ernie started his career as a law assistant to Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court; and he has served as attorney for the Suffolk County Public Administrator, handling estates for unknown or missing heirs. Currently, Ernie is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Committee, Suffolk County Bar Association’s Assistance for Lawyers Program, and the Surrogate’s Court Committee, of which he was a past Chairman.

An active member of the Suffolk Academy of Law and the Long Island Estate Planning Council, he is a frequent lecturer on a variety of estate-related topics for the Suffolk Academy of Law and the New York State Bar Association.

Ernie’s commitment to the local community is illustrated in his continued involvement in many civic and social organizations, including the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, Patchogue Business Improvement District, the Southampton Town Citizen’s Advisory Committee, and Board of Assessment Review and Audit Review Committee. An avid fisherman, Ernie is also a member of the New York Sport Fishing Federation and the South Shore Marlin and Tuna Club.
